Privacy policy

BloxScout is built to work without an account. This page explains what we store when you do sign in, what third parties are involved, and how to get your data removed.

Public game data

The experience, creator and chart data on this site is collected from public Roblox APIs. It concerns games and their publicly listed creators, not private individuals, and is not linked to visitors of this site.

Visitors who do not sign in

  • Server logs. Standard request logs (IP address, user agent, path, timestamp) are kept by our hosting provider for a short period for security and abuse prevention, including rate limiting.
  • Preferences. Theme choice and your cookie consent decision are stored in your browser's local storage only.
  • Analytics and ads. Optional analytics scripts load only after you accept them in the consent banner. When advertising is configured, the AdSense site tag is present in the page so Google can verify the site; individual ad units still wait for your consent before filling. You can change your decision at any time from the banner link in the footer.

Signed-in users

Sign-in uses Roblox's OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect with the openid and profile scopes only. We receive and store:

  • Your numeric Roblox user id, username and avatar URL.
  • Your watchlist, alerts, alert history and display preferences.
  • Timestamps of when the account was created and when preferences were changed.

We do not receive your e-mail address, password, inventory, Robux balance, friends or any write access to your Roblox account. Access tokens issued by Roblox are used only to complete sign-in and are not used to call Roblox on your behalf afterwards.

How data is used

  • To show your watchlist, alerts and own experiences.
  • To evaluate alerts during collector runs.
  • To rate-limit abusive traffic.

We do not sell personal data or share it with third parties beyond the infrastructure providers below.

Third parties

  • Roblox Corporation processes the sign-in itself under its own privacy policy.
  • Hosting and database providers store the data described above in the region the site is deployed to.
  • Analytics / advertising vendors, only if you consent, may set cookies according to their own policies.

Retention and deletion

Account data is kept until you delete it. From Settings you can export everything we hold about you as JSON or delete the account, which immediately removes your profile, watchlist, alerts and preferences. Sessions expire after seven days of inactivity.

Children

BloxScout is intended for developers and is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, email support@bloxscout.net and we will remove it.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be announced on this page with an updated date at the top.
